He says the ex-Leeds United striker is fast proving himself at the level and can start next season confident of finding the back of the net on a regular basis.
"He has improved as the season has gone on," Stuart told evertontv. "For argument's sake you could say that the Premier League is full of foreign players who have arrived and taken a year to settle - as far as the football is concerned it is not that different for Jermaine.
"He has stepped up from League One and it has taken him a while to settle down, but the most pleasing thing is that he has created opportunities and scored some goals.
"When you make that step up the worry is that you are not going get enough chances as the quality of defending is so much higher.
"But he has fashioned opportunities for himself which shows that his movement is good and his willing and intelligent running is getting him into areas to score goals.
"He has missed some chances which is a surprise given what a good finisher he is, but he looks like he will score goals."
