Former Everton midfielder Andy van der Meyde has taken aim at his old manager David Moyes.

Van Der Meyde spent four years at Everton under Moyes but failed to hold down a regular starting role.

“In England, it's full stadiums, people in Liverpool live only for football," he said on Instagram live.

“Football and beer, that was their secret. Everton was a good team, Arteta was already super, even Cahill was decisive.

“I had problems that you all know, Moyes did not speak to me; with him cold and Scottish the relationship never took off."
