Released Everton goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg is a target for Real Madrid.
The Daily Mail says Stekelenburg has emerged a shock target for Real Madrid should their current No 2 keeper Keylor Navas leave this summer.
The Costa Rica international lost his place to Thibaut Courtois last summer, and has attracted interest from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
While Zinedine Zidane wants to keep Navas as back-up, should he force a move through then Stekelenburg, 36, has been identified as a late replacement with AC Milan stopper Pepe Reina also on the list.
The transfer window in France and Spain closes on September 2, meaning any deal would be completed close to the deadline at this point.
