Ex-Everton fullback Ball urges Koeman to recall committed Niasse

Former Everton fullback Michael Ball has urged manager Ronald Koeman not to write off Oumar Niasse.

Ball wrote for the Liverpool Echo: "Oumar Niasse wasn't involved with the first team squad at Old Trafford on Sunday.

"So he went and sat with the away fans.

"I love that attitude.

"I know how Oumar feels. I was frozen out at PSV by Ronald Koeman, when he wanted his own players in there.

"Like Oumar, I was effectively an outcast.

"But the way he has gone about responding to that blow has been great.

"If he does get a bit part in the Carabao Cup tie on Wednesday it would be fantastic."
