Ex-Everton boss Benitez ready for management return: For the right project

Former Liverpool and Everton boss Rafa Benitez feels ready to return to management.

Benitez has been out of work since he was sacked by Everton in January. The Spaniard spent six months in charge at Goodison Park, before he was shown the exit door and was replaced by Frank Lampard.

“Yes, I'd like to work in a team that can compete for something," Benitez is quoted telling DAZN Italy.

“The difficulty is this: if you join a team and you don't have the money, you have to have the right project, the right mentality and you have to use your experience. You have to work with the youth, with the players you have.

“We can use the experience to find a balance between the market and cultivate young players."
