Eric Avila is on trial with Mexican club Chivas Guadalajara ahead of the 2015 Clausura season.
The 27-year old San Diego-born winger, who holds a Mexican passport, reported to training this week as he seeks a deal for the upcoming campaign.
The former FC Dallas and Toronto FC man was being linked with a transfer to Santos Laguna from Chivas USA recently but it now appears as though he could be on his way to Guadalajara.
