Ex-Crystal Palace coach Millen explains Halmstads BK move

Former Crystal Palace coach and caretaker manager Keith Millen has moved to Swedish football.

Halmstads BK have named Millen as assistant coach.

Millen said, "The first contact I had with HBK was through Roy Hodgson. Roy asked me if I was interested in coming to HBK, we talked about his time in Halmstad and he talked a lot about both the club and the city. Then I met Igor (Krulj) when he came to England, and we talked about his visions for HBK. I liked his visions for the club and what he had to say.

"Everyone I have talked to has been very clear with the fact that they want to go up to the Allsvenskan and that was very important to me. I want to be a part of the advancement, it is a great driving force for me. In addition, I have been in England for a long time, both as coach and player, so this will be a new challenge with a new country and a new culture."
