Former Chelsea youngster Harvey St Clair admits there's connection with Rangers through coach Michael Beale.

Venezia attacker St Clair is being watched by Gers.

Beale is now on the Gers staff after following Steven Gerrard from Liverpool.

St Clair told the Sunday Post: "I wanted advice about the playing side of the game, so I went to Michael Beale.

"What he said about the benefits of taking up the opportunity to experience another style of football and a new way of life really appealed to me."

He has made six top team appearances for the second tier side under the guidance of former Italy goalkeeper Walter Zenga.
