Ex-Chelsea striker Pizarro would only leave Bayern for 'foreign league'

Claudio Pizarro says he is in no hurry to leave German champions Bayern Munich.

The 35-year old Peruvian striker is out of contract at the end of the season but will remain patient as he ponders the next phase of his extensive career.

"It would not be bad to make a decision on my future before the end of the season," he told kicker-Sportmagazin.

"But I am in no hurry. There will be something else if Bayern Munich should decide against giving me a new contract.

"I will definitely carry on playing and I am ready to face competition at Bayern.

"I always have enquiries from other clubs. I mainly want to remain with a good club and be part of a good squad that wants to win trophies.

"I will only leave Bayern for a foreign league."

Pizarro spent time with Chelsea between 2007 and 2009 following stints with Werder Bremen and Bayern, before returning to Bremen and back to Munich in 2012.
