Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel could make a shock return to the Premier League!

Mikel, who starred for Chelsea for ten seasons, left in 2017 for Tianjin TEDA in the Chinese Super League.

However, he eventually went back to Middlesbrough in England on a short term contract.

Now that his deal with Boro is concluded, he could consider a Premier League return after the African Cup of Nations this summer, per ESPN FC.

Mikel will be hoping he can star for Nigeria in the tournament and attract interest from Premier League clubs.
