Ex-Chelsea fullback Dorigo: Can the kids handle season run-in pressure?

Former Chelsea fullback Tony Dorigo has questioned whether Frank Lampard's kids can handle their season run-in.

Their 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Monday leaves them in fourth place just a point above Jose Mourinho's Tottenham with 12 games of the league season remaining.

Dorigo told Love Sport Radio: “I love to see the youngsters coming through and getting their opportunity. It's so difficult to do that at the big clubs.

Frank Lampard has been given this fortunate window with the transfer ban where he has kind of had to go with what he knows.

“He's seen some very good youngsters and put them in. To see Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Reece James - it's brilliant."

He then added: “Now it's the business end of the season, they've never been through this sort of pressure, how will they cope? That's going to be the big question."
