Former Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has no regrets over his move to Hamburg.

Mancienne is in the first year of a four-year deal with the Bundesliga outfit.

"I think English football does need a broader experience, to be honest. If you're not English - a foreigner - then it's a normal thing to come and play in England. Yet somehow it's weird if an Englishman goes abroad.

"And you do learn. It's just different," he told the Daily Mail.
