Former Chelsea defender Robert Huth rates N'Golo Kante ahead of Eden Hazard.
Huth played with Kante at Leicester City.
He wrote for The Times: "Of course, Eden Hazard is better in some skills, he makes sure people are in the stands, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi ... I understand that, really.
"But in terms of the impact on the match, Kanté is the one I get annoyed when it is said, 'Oh, he just wins a ball'. Yes, he does.
"But look at him, he looks three passes ahead, runs fifteen metres, then has an acceleration to quickly snatch the ball from someone, after which he can again bridge thirty metres with the ball, his brain works on a complete different level from other football players.
"Our longest conversation was: 'Good morning'. When I first met him, I thought he was rude and in the canteen at Leicester I said hello and he just said, 'Mmm'. But you learn that he is not rude, he is quiet, shy by his qualities, you see it when he scores: he embarrasses himself, it is no coincidence that he won the league, the same thing went with Chelsea and France is world champion."
