Ex-Chelsea coach Wilkins: Batshuayi just isn't good enough

Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins can't see Michy Batshuayi making it at Stamford Bridge.

He's struggled for game time this season, but featured against Peterborough in the FA Cup yesterday and bagged a goal.

However, he performance wasn't enough to convince Wilkins that he's a good enough to understudy for Diego Costa.

Wilkins told Sky Sports: “No, in my humble opinion.

“Yesterday when i watched him play, he was like a guy who'd been starved of playing for the first-team.

“He was out to impress so badly - he really wanted to do well.

“He ran everywhere, his ball control was pretty poor when it was played up to him.

"When you've got Costa in they type of form he's in, I don't think Batshuayi would be the answer to come in. When they play Pedro, Willian and Hazard up front I was questioning why he didn't play Batshuayi.

“And now i can see why he didn't - because he doesn't have that control of the ball."
