Ex-Chelsea, BVB attacker Andre Schurrle has no retirement regrets

Former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund attacker Andre Schurrle has no regrets over his surprise retirement.

Schurrle chose to hang up the boots this year at the age of 29.

“If I had even the slightest doubt about my decision, I would not have stopped. I'm too grateful to football for that. There wasn't one point or one trigger. It was just the feeling that there are more important things for me - family, another life," he told BILD.

“I wouldn't do anything different today. When I was still active, I sometimes thought that I could have stayed with one or the other club a little longer. But today I know that this was my way. I'm extremely satisfied with what came out of it."
