Ex-Chelsea boss Mourinho on Kepa blow-up: I'm sad for everyone

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says he was left "saddened" by the Kepa Arrizabalaga situation.

The goalkeeper refused to be substituted late on into Chelsea's Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City, leaving manager Maurizio Sarri furious.

Mourinho stated afterwards: "Fortunately, I never had a situation like this: on the one hand, the goalkeeper wants to show his confidence, he wants to show his personality and I like it.

"But I do not like to leave the coach and all the staff in a situation like that, even saddened by the fact that even (Willy) Caballero was in a difficult situation, it saddens me a lot, it's very complicated."
