Former Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit believes Jorginho would be a worthy Ballon d'Or winner.

However, the Dutch great doesn't believe he'll land the award due to the position he plays.

Gullit told TMW: "The Ballon d'Or for Jorginho? It's a bit like for (Franco) Baresi, who didn't win despite his level.

"Those who score capture more and more attention. It would be nice to see them win - one who attracts less attention for goals.

"(N'Golo) Kante is one who also deserves it."
