Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was unimpressed by Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos' warning amid talk of him taking the coaching post.
The Real Madrid skipper, 32, told Conte last month that respect must be earned when the Italian was being linked with becoming the next Los Blancos boss to replace Julen Lopetegui.
Speaking of the ex-Chelsea boss, Ramos said: "Respect is earned, it is not imposed. Neither a name nor another.
"We have won everything with coaches that you already know, in the end the management of the players is more important than the technical knowledge of a coach."
And Conte has broken his silence on the World Cup winner's comments when speaking to Rai Sport: "The words of Ramos?
"When a coach comes to a team he should bring education and respect, which is also expected from the players.
"When this fails, the problems begin."
