Gianfranco Zola understands why Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte wants to reunite with N'Golo Kante.

Conte has prioritised the signing of the Chelsea midfielder, who helped him win the Premier League title in 2016/17.

Zola also worked with Kante as assistant to Maurizio Sarri and has labelled the World Cup winner as 'extraordinary'.

Asked if it was understandable why Conte wants Kante at the San Siro, Zola told Gazzetta Dello Sport: "Yes, because he changes the face of a team.

"He may not register an assist or goal, but he gives an impressive amount. I was lucky enough to have him, he's extraordinary."
