Former Chelsea and Porto defender Paulo Ferreira expects Pepe to be a lightening rod tonight.

Chelsea meet Pepe and Porto in the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.

Ferreira, who is now a Chelsea scout, told Eleven Sports: "He is a great player, with a great commitment.

"Seeing him playing at this level and at this age is fantastic. He works and takes care of himself. He has been very important for FC Porto. His performance in Turin (against Juventus) was fantastic and shows his quality, experience, leadership very well.

"He leaves everything on the field and, if I know Pepe, he has always left everything on the field."
