Ex-Brighton boss Poyet slams Bordeaux: They want you to lie!

Former Brighton boss Gus Poyet has blasted Bordeaux after he was sacked last month.

The Uruguayan lost his job for taking aim at the club's owners.

Poyet revisited the situation on RMC: "I made the decision to tell the truth. I think there are things that have been going on for a long time, maybe even over the last two, three years.

"We had a lot of problems in the transfer window even if someone at the club said it was not the same with Jocelyn Gourvennec. We must not forget that they made two last minute purchases (Andreas Cornelius and Yann Karamoh) because we did not do things well before.

"As a coach, I know the summer is always the most important but nothing has been done. I said that I was not happy but we can not say it, we must lie! And like that, it continues to work as it did in the last years."
