Ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton set to take charge of Bristol City

Former Brighton boss Chris Hughton is set to take charge of Bristol City.

The Daily Mail says Hughton has agreed a deal with Bristol City to become their next manager.

The 61-year-old's last managerial role was with Brighton, who sacked him at the end of the 2018-19 season and he has since been linked to the hotseat of many clubs.

But Robins have identified Hughton as the man to take the club forward and the former Newcastle boss is set to be in the dugout at Ashton Gate next season.

Earlier this month Lee Johnson was sacked by Bristol City after more than four years in charge, with the team slipping away from the play-off places.
