Former Brescia striker Mario Balotelli is in talks to play in Romania.
Balotelli recently quit Brescia following their relegation from Serie A and a dispute over his contract.
The 29-year-old had been expected to stay in Italy or move to Flamengo in Brazil but is now said to be close to signing for CFR Cluj, which would be his fourth permanent club in four years, says the Daily Mail.
The former Manchester City striker has held advanced talks with manager Dan Petrescu, the former Chelsea defender.
Cluj owner Nelutu Varga told local media that he planned on signing Slavia Prague winger Nicolae Stanciu and a "top Italian striker".
"This will be a real coup for Romanian football," he stated.
