Ex-Brazil U17 coach Amadeu rates Kubo ahead of Real Madrid pal Rodrygo

Brazil's former U-17 coach Carlos Amadeu believes Rodrygo Goes could struggle in competition with Takefuso Kubo.

The two summer arrivals will start the season with Raul's Castilla.

And Amadeu admits he rates Kubo ahead of Rodrygo at this stage of their careers, telling AS: "As long as there is only one place for Rodrygo or Kubo, I think it will be very close. Rodrygo will have a difficult time because Kubo also has a lot of quality.

"He adapts to various positions and have a very important quality to give the final pass to the forward. He also shoots very well."

However, Amadeu believes Rodrygo's versatility can work in his favour.

"If you do not have opportunities in the first team you should make a place in the reserves as Vinicius did. He is a player in development who has to enhance all his virtues. But he will surprise coaches because he plays several positions."
