Ex-Bolton, Burnley boss Coyle backs Houston Dynamo to find consistency

Houston Dynamo head coach Owen Coyle believes his side have what it takes to start stringing together consistent performances in the second half of the MLS season.

Dynamo are six points off a Western Conference playoff spot at the halfway point of 2015 and are the league's Jekyll and Hyde team given their unpredictable performances so far this year.

However, former Bolton and Burnley boss Coyle has confidence that his Dynamo can find some stability and make their way up the standings after winning just five of their first 17 matches.

"When you look at the previous games, when we created no end of chances, we scored four against Red Bulls, so we've shown we're capable" Coyle told Houston's official website.

"What we have to do is show that consistency level week-in-and-week-out. We showed it in the period prior to the two games; I think we took 10 points out of five games. I certainly know it's there within us.

"When all is said and done, we know if we bring that consistency we're capable of going on that run and getting where we want to be. Nothing's changed in terms of the mission when we started the season."
