Ex-Blackburn midfielder Grella on verge of Melbourne Heart debut

John Aloisi suggests Vince Grella could soon make his Melbourne Heart debut.

The 33-year old former Empoli, Parma and Torino midfielder joined the Heart on a free transfer from Blackburn Rovers in October but has not been able to get on the pitch in the A-League because of injury.

However, Heart head coach Aloisi has indicated the former Socceroo may still have a part to play this season.

"Vince Grella's good," Aloisi told reporters.

"He is going well. He will be involved soon. I can't say exactly when but we are very happy with the way he is going."

The Heart, who sit seventh on the A-League table, host second-placed Adelaide United at AAMI Park tonight.
