Former Barcelona player Godswill Ekpolo has joined Fleetwood Town.

Ekpolo was released by Barca in the summer, having played for Gerard Lopez's Barca B last season.

He becomes the latest Barca B player to pop up in England, following the likes of Adama Traore (Middlesbrough), Marc Muniesa (Stoke City), Bojan Krkic (Stoke City) and Gerard Deulofeu (Everton).

Helping Fleetwood land Ekpolo was the presence of his father, who lives in England.

The 21-year-old Nigerian can play at right-back or centre-back.
