Former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell expects a "cut-throat election".

Rosell wasn't holding back when speaking with L'Esportiu regarding Barca's upcoming presidential elections.

He declared, "It will be a cut-throat election. Blood and fire. I see an impressive war.

"Have you not seen it already? With everything they have done to (Josep Maria) Bartomeu in the case from social networks ... if others have done it ... Everything is a manipulation. There are many interests.

"Luckily, I already promised my mother that I would not introduce myself again."

On the future of Leo Messi, Rosell also stated: "Messi must be renewed. I know him and I know that he is honest enough to fold the day he sees that he can no longer contribute anything. He will decide to fold himself. He loves the club."

And on Neymar and his move to PSG, he added: "He made a historic mistake when leaving, he lost Barça and he lost."
