Real Betis defender Marc Bartra is a surprise January target for Real Madrid.

The former Barcelona stopper moved to Betis last summer from Borussia Dortmund.

Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito de Jugones, revealed Real are determined to sign a new centre-half in January.

"Madrid for January wants a central defender," said Inda and that "the most liked player is Marc Bartra".

Inda says Stuttgart stopper Benjamin Pavard is also under consideration.
