Ex-Barcelona chief Freixa: Guardiola and Messi at Juventus...?

Former Barcelona director Toni Freixa says Pep Guardiola could succeed in Serie A.

The Manchester City manager has been linked with AC Milan and Juventus this season.

And Freixa told TMW: "In my opinion Guardiola is the best coach of his era.

"He is one of the few technicians who can decide where to train. If he wants to work in Serie A, I am sure he will triumph there as he has already done in Spain, Germany and England with Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City."

Freixa also insisted there was no chance of Lionel Messi joining Cristiano Ronaldo at Juve.

"It was a real spectacle to witness the challenge in the games between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the years in which they both played in LaLiga, with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"But Leo's future, I repeat, will not be in Italy nor in any other country: Messi will end his career at Barcelona."
