Former Barcelona captain Carles Puyol says they must be careful with how they manage Ansu Fati.

Puyol admits the success of the 17 year-old this season has surprised him.

Now an agent, Puyol told Reuters: "We knew he had qualities, but you never know how a player will react when given the opportunity to play with the first team, but he acted with amazing ease.

"The club must ensure that he takes the steps one by one, that he does not burn out and that he does not come under pressure. If they manage him properly, Barça will have an amazing player for many years."
