Former Atletico Madrid coach Quique Sanchez Flores is confident Joao Felix will fulfill his potential with the Spanish giants.

Felix arrived in the summer from Benfica for a club record €120m.

"He surprised me at Benfica. Without knowing him, it seemed to me that he had things typical of a real crack. Now he is adapting and when he completes the process, he will be a great player," Sanchez Flores, who also was in charge of Benfica for the 2008/09 season, told Radio Marca.

He also commented on Atletico's Champions League round 16 win at Liverpool.

“The match with Liverpool did not surprise me. If anyone could compete, it was Atlético de Madrid."
