Carles Gil admits he's enjoying his first season with New England Revolution.

Indeed, the midfielder says he's happier in Boston than he was in Birmingham while with Aston Villa.

He told AS: "Above all I am from Valencia. It is very difficult to find such a good place to live. But in the United States I am delighted. Boston is one of the most beautiful cities in the United States.

"In that sense I am much better than England. There you live differently. Birmingham is a good city, but they have nothing to do with Boston. It's very cold here, but there are also a few months of heat in which you can go to the pool. That in England did not exist."
