Former Aston Villa and Tottenham defender Alan Hutton has announced his retirement.

Making the announcement on Talksport, the 35-year-old confirmed the end of his career after being released by Aston Villa in the summer of 2019.

On his future, Hutton says he is still undecided what he wants to do next.

''I don't fancy coaching if I'm honest,'' he said.

''I'm going to take my time deciding, I'm enjoying the family side of things, even if it does mean I'm a taxi service.''
