Ex-Arsenal winger Pennant handed Charlton trials

Former Liverpool and Arsenal winger Jermaine Pennant is trialling with Charlton Athletic.

The Daily Mail says the 32-year-old is on the look out for a new club after leaving Wigan at the end of the season.

And Addicks boss Guy Luzon has offered the former Arsenal man an opportunity to train with the south London side with a view to a potential contract offer.

The midfielder has turned out for twelve clubs since coming through the ranks at Notts County including Stoke, Birmingham and Real Zaragoza
