Former Arsenal and England star Jack Wilshere is working on his fitness ahead of a possible transfer to Rangers.
The 28-year-old is without a club after being released by West Ham United.
Wilshere is desperate to find a team and enjoy this season, and is working hard on proving he can stay fit for a sustained period.
A source told The Scotsman: "Rangers would be an option for Jack if there had been any contact. So far, however, there hasn't been any.
"Jack thinks Rangers are a great club.
"They tried to take him on loan when Walter Smith was in charge back in 2010 just as he was starting out at Arsenal but he ended up going to Bolton."
