Ex-Arsenal striker Shaw gunning for Red Bulls scalp

FC New York's interim head coach, Paul Shaw, is excited about tonight's Lamar Hunt US Open Cup clash with MLS outfit New York Red Bulls.

The USL Pro league club take on the star-studded Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena in the third round of the competition and former Arsenal striker Shaw is looking to enjoy the outing and perhaps even grab a big scalp in the process.

"I'm just so pleased for our young players," Shaw said. "We've got so many that this is their first time as professionals and they're getting better and better every week and now we've got a chance to play the Red Bulls.

"I think it's great for them and I just hope we go there, play well and put on a show because I've been so pleased with the players the last six weeks I've been in charge.

"I just want us to go there and enjoy it, relish the opportunity."
