Lacazette scored four in a stunning 5-4 win over Montpellier to briefly move to the top of the league scoring charts.
The former Arsenal striker took his tally for the season to 24 in Ligue 1 with the feat.
Lacazette's Lyon were 4-1 down in the game, but rallied to claim all three points.
The forward, who has only been back at the club since the summer, has 28 goals in 35 games in all competitions.
Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe are presently joint top of the league's scoring charts.
