Leon Goretzka is similar to Frank Lampard, according to Arsenal legend Lee Dixon.

The Schalke midfielder is a transfer target for Arsene Wenger after some impressive performances with Germany at the Confederations Cup.

Goretzka's exploits helped Die Mannschaft win the tournament for the first time.

The 22-year old's playing style, which is filled with accurate passing and an ability to score goals, as proven by his brace in the semi final win over Mexico, has made Dixon compare him with the former Chelsea midfielder.

After the 1-0 victory over Chile in the final, Dixon told ITV Sport: "He's [Goretzka] like Frank Lampard."
