Former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is being celebrated in Turkey today.

Ozil was outstanding for Fenerbahce in Sunday's 2-1 win at Galatasaray, scoring Fener's opening goal.

For many observers, it marked Ozil's best performance in years.

Hürriyet reported: "Mesut Özil has played his best football since he switched to Fenerbahçe". In Fotomac there is talk of an "impressive performance" and that Özil "played the main role in Fenerbahce's attacks".

With four goals in ten games, Ozil is now Fener's top scorer.
