Former Arsenal, Fulham and AC Milan defender Philippe Senderos has announced his retirement.

Now 34, Senderos has been playing at home in Switzerland with FC Chiasso.

He declared on social media: "This past weekend I played my last game as a professional footballer.

"I couldn't be more thankful for the blessings and opportunities I've had over the years."
