Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is delighted to see Thierry Henry take charge of AS Monaco.
Wenger is a former ASM coach, himself, and is proud to have had an influence on their latest trainer.
He told L'Equipe: "He, like others, such as Patrick Vieira, can be proud of their playing career and to be able to start coaching at the highest level. Me, it makes me happy, because, at least, I did not turn them off the coaching profession!
"After, he will make his way. He is very intelligent, he has the necessary qualities to succeed. Then you have good players, believe in them, have a little luck and, above all, be in a favorable environment. Personally, I had this chance in all clubs and I wish him to have an environment that allows him to express himself and that is patient enough.
"Because when you start a coaching career, you always think you're going to win, but the good coaches are the ones who survive the disappointments."
