Former Anderlecht and Australia star Eddie Krncevic is in the mix for the assistant coaching role at A-League club Gold Coast United.
49-year old Krncevic, who enjoyed a successful playing career extending from 1977 to 1997 and taking in clubs such as Anderlecht, Cercle Brugge, FC Liege, Dinamo Zagreb and Duisburg, has been heavily linked with the job which was vacated by former Socceroo Paul Okon last month.
Krncevic has managerial experience with Carlton SC, Marconi Stallions and South Melbourne where he was successful with all three clubs and has more recently been working with the strikers at Victorian Premier League club Richmond whilst overseeing elite youth academies.
