Former AC Milan youth chief Filippo Galli has spoken of signing Gigio Donnarumma to the club's academy.
Donnarumma was tempted away from Napoli in 2013, signing for the Rossonero as a 14 year-old for a huge €250,000 fee.
"It was a complex negotiation and the intervention of the top management was decisive.
"Everyone knew him and everyone wanted him. Certainly also the will of the agent, the family and the boy, were important," Galli recalled to MilanNews.
Galli was also asked if Donnarumma should be sold this summer.
“I can't get into such an important and strategic decision," he concluded.
