Ex-AC Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula delighted with Genoa move

Former AC Milan striker Gianluca Lapadula is delighted with his move to Genoa.

Lapadula made just 12 starts for Milan last season and subsequently moved to Genoa over the summer.

“How could I regret [joining] Milan? It was a year in which I grew so much," he told Il Secolo XIX.

“No-one asked me to leave, but this is a decisive year for my career and I decided to go where I could play 100 percent.

“After my year at Pescara, I had so many offers but chose Genoa. Yet Milan came in at the last minute and I couldn't say 'no' to them.

“Still, Genoa continued to have great confidence in me, the President and Coach have longed for me, and I believe Genoa is the right place for me."
