Ex-AC Milan president Berlusconi: I'm in pain watching the team this season

Former AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits he's finding his old team difficult to watch this season.

Berlusconi says he remains a fan of the Rossonero.

“I'm the former President, but I remain a big Milan fan," Berlusconi told Premium Sport.

“I feel a strong pain, sometimes I can hardly watch the whole game because I don't agree with the players and the formation.

“The system which brought us so much success should be forgotten, which is to say the one with two centre-forwards.

“One of those should be Suso, with [Giacomo] Bonaventura playing like Kaka behind the strikers.

“With the current formation, our two superstars Suso and Jack - to which we must add our third superstar, Gigio Donnarumma - have to play on the wing and they're too far from the goal.

“With this formation there have been games where we haven't touched the ball in the opposition area for the whole match.

“Our full-backs have to offer the width, as happened under [Arrigo] Sacchi, so that there are at least three players in the box waiting for crosses.

“I want to offer a big 'good luck' to Gattuso, but with this one striker formation we won't get anywhere."
