Ex-AC Milan coach Sacchi: Empty stands a mental test

Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi admits playing in front of empty stands is a mental test.

However, he is confident the summer heat won't be a major factor.

Sacchi explained: “[It will be] like a theatrical performance without spectators. You are naked, you can't cling onto anything.

“I was the coach of Italy, who at the 1994 World Cup played at noon, under a hellish sun and with humidity at 90 per cent.

“It's not easy, that's true, but if you train well and if you plan to recover, you can do it. Man, in the long run, wins over nature."
