Aston Villa midfielder Robert Pires is seeking a playing deal in France.
The Arsenal hero was released from Villa this month.
According to reports in France, Evian TG, who are also expected to complete the signing of seven-time Ligue 1 winner Sidney Govou, have offered Pires a contract which would see him return to French football for the first time since leaving Marseille for Highbury in 2000.
