Everton ace Andy Johnson is excited about facing former club Crystal Palace in preseason.

"Yes it will be good," he told evertonTV. "It will be nice to see a few of the boys again and it would nice to score there again.

"Hopefully I'll get a decent reception and I'm just looking forward to getting back into things and playing some games."

Last pre-season, AJ's first as an Everton player, saw him mobbed on his very first appearance in an Everton shirt after a friendly at Bury.

The memory of those amazing scenes when hundreds of traveling fans swarmed onto the Gigg Lane pitch still makes him shudder!

"It was unbelievable!" he laughed. "It was my first game and at the end the fans came onto the pitch and I was left in just my pants! They took everything, even my socks but it was a great day and it's great to look back on for me."
