The Everton winger converted from the penalty spot late as La Roja defeated Estonia 2-0 in Tallinn on Wednesday night to open their account in their first Group 6 fixture.

Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya had earlier put Albert Celades' side ahead in the 82nd minute.

Deulofeu Tweeted his pleasure at contributing to the victory which has Spain sitting second on the group table, behind Georgia on goal difference.

Translation: Good work against Estonia. 3 points to start the group.

Spain next take on Georgia in October in their second qualifying match for Poland's Euro2017.
